Dawn Trudeau, who along with 3 other women owns the WNBA Seattle Storm basketball team, recently spoke at an eWomen Networking Event.
I had my trusty journal with me, since I’m always on the hunt to learn from smart, savvy women. While her business is bigger than most (waaay bigger!), her advice inspires smaller entrepreneurial ventures:
Tip #1 Be in a mode of perpetual self-education.
Tip #2 Know your core strengths and play to them.
Tip #3 Intentionally reach out when times are tough.
What’s your best tip?

I think tip#1 is really important. I wish I had more time for it and will make it a goal.
I think you need to believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to take some risks. Nothing ventured, nothing gained…
Carol, I checked out your blog – looks to me like you’re a learner! It does help in business, to constantly push ourselves, doesn’t it? Thanks much for your comment. : )
Hello Seattle! I usually find a successful woman and call her up to meet for a latte and chat about best business practises – if you walk away with one new idea to implement in your business it’s well worth it!
Nothing like women + coffee + chatting about business!
Thanks for writing, Danielle. : )
